early spring –it has been over a year since I have seen my nieces– like most of us, covid left us alone and isolated. I was overjoyed to see my nieces again, having missed an entire year of their young lives. This series documents the beautiful weekend we shared in the spring sun.

I shot this series in black and white because even though it was such a wonderful weekend and it was cathartic for us all –the screams of delight when I came through the door– we are still not out of the woods yet. Covid still hangs over us stripping the color from our daily lives.
